From National Champions to Beantown Finishers, Suunto Athletes Were Busy This Weekend!

The racing season has kicked in and athletes on the Suunto Multisport Team are starting to shine! Here are the results from this past weekend.

Let’s start with Triathlon:

Eliot Scymanski (Pomona, CA) took first place overall and set a new course record at the HITS Napa Half.

Kelsey Withrow (Walnut Creek, CA) stayed on trend by grabbing another IRONMAN 70.3 podium at Ironman 70.3 Liuzhou China, placing 2nd place female pro.

And would you look at that…Kinsey Laine (Bend, OR)  also grabbed a 2nd place overall female at Ironman 70.3 Peru!

Ironman 70.3 Florida: 

DJ Snyder (Edmond, OK) - 5th M30-24

Sam Mazer (Lucie, FL) - 5th F30-34

Chris Johnson (Atlanta, GA) - 10th M40-44

Sarah Barber (Boise, ID) - 1st overall at the YMCA Spring Sprint Triathlon 

Kinsey Laine - 2nd 70.3 Peru

USAT Duathlon National Championships:

Deanna Newman (Mountain Brook, AL) - USAT Duathlon Standard Distance - 2nd overall and 1st in AG - National Champion in F45-49!

Ryan Giuliano (Oakwood Hills, IL) - USAT Du Draft LegalSprint, and Standard races - 3rd overall and 1st in AG in every race... National Champ in all three distances! Ryan was also sick all weekend. No excuses, folks.

Trail Running:

Alex & Otto

How cool is this? Alex Borsuk (Portland, OR) got to run a 20 mile race with her dog at the Peterson Ridge race in Sisters, OR and they finished in 3rd place in the dog + human division.

Ryan Montgomery (San Francisco, CA) continues to amaze us with his results, placing 13th overall at the Sonoma 50 Mile with a PR of 7 hours and 32 minutes against a super solid field of runners. Nice work Ryan!

Road Racing:

Nora Bird (Madison, WI) left her trail shoes behind and lined up for the 100k National Road Championship in Madison, WI and had an amazing race finishing in 2nd place overall female!

Boston Marathon – What a great weekend of racing, shake-out runs and working the Suunto booth by our Suunto Multisport team and Factory Team athletes! A huge thank you to all of you who spent time at the booth and being such great ambassadors for Suunto and all of our team sponsors!

Ralph Nurse (Crownpoint, IN) – Ralph qualified for Leadville 100 MTB at a muddy Austin Rattler.

 

In Other News…Sam Mazer passed the Florida Bar Exam!! Wahoo!! But I suppose this means that you need to go find a job now Sam right? Hope that doesn’t effect your triathlon career.
